For 2x you could also just reverse a lens you you already have. Or get a good close-up lens for your macro lens.

Hello everybody,
Because of the CA the distance between the objective and the tube –lens has been reduced to about 50mm.

My clamps arrived today. Unfortunately they are all the wrong size: 41 mm instead of 49 mm. I have contacted the eBay vendor and of course I am looking forward to a satisfactory outcome.

Are you able to tether the EOS-M camera? Could you describe your workflow? I love the small size of the EOS-M cameras but was not sure how they would integrate into my workflow.

Hello Ray,
I have never tried to do it, because I take the photographs only in the RAW-format and during the conversion from RAW into the TIFF I usually change some parameters and remove the CA manually.

So you press the shutter release button manually, then move the rail, then press the button again, in order to do a stack? Tethering programs will shoot in RAW, so that's not a limitation that would keep you from tethering. Do you use the little screen to do your focusing?

Hi Ray,

No, but everything is controlled by my macro-slat (Arduino based). This slat works standalone.

As I already have written, I change many parameters during the conversion into the TIFF.
These parameters depend on the lens, illumination and magnification.
So, I chose an appropriate picture, modify it and synchronize with the remaining pictures from the stack by LR and finally export to the Zerene.
I really don’t have any idea how to do it automatically with the tethering :-(

BTW, yes, the display of the EOS M3 is good enough for the determination of the range of the stack.
