1, 2, 4 - epi
3 - immersion from the second photo in the GIMP program
5- autoFL UV (A white pad under the fly, because the eyes shine like small flashlights.
Only eyes would be visible against a black background)

Hello Jacek,

Not only great photos, but great technique! Was the fly anesthetized or recently deceased? No matter - fantastic!

What filter did you use for the fluorescence?

Fresh fly, I usually put in the freezer for an hour and sleep later.
UG5 filter 365 nm.

Hello Jacek,

More questions! I have the equipment for fluorescence but have not done anything with it, so looking for whatever guidance you might have (it appears from your photos you have done quite a lot with fluorescence!)

What light source are you using? Do you need to take an6y special precautions for the UV?

I have a typical episs Zeiss fluorescence (UV, B).

But I also have a much stronger own production:

Currently, the illuminators are corrected but the principle of operation has not changed.

In both sets I use diode lighting.
