Relief parasites in spiral bacteria

Post by carlos.uruguay »

All have diplobacilli shape one shorter than the other
They seem not always to move in the same direction
They seem not to be bound to the membrane

Fascinating, Carlos! Thank you for sharing.

Are you sure the big organism is a bacterium? I am just curious.

When I saw your thread title, bacteriophage came to my mind first. But you probably won't see phage under light microscope.

And then I found a bacterium called Bdellovibrio that parasitizes other bacteria. Wow. You know I used to be a bacteriologist, but I have never heard of bacteria that parasitizes other bacteria  But biology and nature have so many surprises.
