My first venture into some serious macro work and with it being Mothers day there were plenty of flowers around to play with.
This is a small orchid on a window sill lit with ambient light.
Captured with a Canon 5D4 and Canon 100mm macro lens and 65mm of extension tubes. 0.5 second @ f/8.0 iso 100 exposures.
56 raw images taken with the camera lens focus controlled with Helicon remote and stacked in Helicon focus. Minor finishing and resizing in Photoshop.
I've ordered a Nikon CFI 10x/0.25 objective and motorised stage for my next steps into the macro world but I've no idea where I'm going yet lol.
I've no idea what lens tube I should be using to achieve optimum quality with the Nikon objective, so any advice would be welcomed with open arms.
regards
Kev
