What is being used as a VCM? (Voltage Controlled Modulator)

There are many (fairly poor) 555 derived diy ways, of course.

hey Lin i know your following this. i have mine done complete. i was wondering have you been in touch with the engineer of our little group. if you have tell him i am rolling. i have just received the 2X mitutoyo this week. i have already replaced the bottom element. it is ready to go. Lin ask the engineer what is the max mag i can get out of that lens. i want to see if the edges will be in focus. so far every thing looks good have a great one.

dolmadis thank you. yes it is a great learning curve. things are looking really good so far. dolmadis i find with this setup. i am having problems with vibration. this unit is so sensitive. especially at high mag. i think its time to take a page out of husqvarna book. this should help with vibration. have a great one.
