Hello,

lichen Lecanora chlarotera from Düsseldorf, Benrather Schlosspark, growing on carpinus bark.

- section apothecium (on bark, see bottom), LCB stain

- section apothecium (on bark, see bottom), polarized light shows us the crystal clusters in the apotheciums border (thalline exiple) and also in medulla and on top of the apothecium (epithecium).

Beautiful work. I particularly like the cross sections; there is a great deal of information there, and it is beautifully presented.
