These are just so beautifully done, and Radiolarians are not an easy subject. I have tried and failed to get images anything like these, and I've taken a few decent pictures of other subjects in my time  You've made it all look so depressingly effortless, not one but ten near faultless images  A little bit more information on the illumination and condenser setup would be welcome. Also how much post processing you did? I assume the lovely drop shadow which really enhances the images was created in post? Were the Radiolaria images masked and cut out and dropped into backgrounds matching the Rheinberg colours? There are times when you see images, and you really wish you could have been standing at the shoulder of the person who created them to see just how it was done, and boy is this one of them!

Those are are outstanding Frank. Sure would like to see a pic of the filter you made and your technique. Are you mounting the filter (in the condenser holder)? I'm in the process of making a few filters again for my PZO and mounted below the condenser (in the filter holder).

I am glad that you like the photos.

The photos consist of about 100 individual shots and are stacked with Helicon Focus.
The drop shadow I created later with Photoshop.
The background is original with Rheinberg filter, however, it is cleaned with Photoshop.
I made the Rheinbergfilter myself out of foil.
It consists of blue circle and outside yellow ring.
The Rheinberg filter I have housed in the phaco revolver of the condenser.

Best regards
Frank

Thanks very much for the extra information. I'm not very familiar with the Jena Amplival. Which condenser are you using? If it isn't too much trouble, a picture of the substage on the Amplival would help.
