Thanks Dolmadis. That was specifically the lens I thought might work. They seem to be available pretty cheaply on ebay. I wondered whether the aperture might affect results.

Thanks for clearing that up for me zzfnn. I thought that one might have to use m4/3 lenses with automatic focus.

John, for your comfort, you have also to consider a zoom that doesn't go longer when you change focal distance, all optical elements have to move internally.
Instead of the Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8, the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 45-175 F/4-F/5.6 will also do the job.

It is really cheaper than the Olympus 40-150mm.
