I'll post more about it, but here is the first output of an automated focus stack custom system. Zerene PMax, 297 images, 125 microns apart. Photoshop auto-levels and a little unsharp masking

These are no flash 1/10th of a second at NA 0.125 (f/4) exposures at ISO 200. The field is 52 mm wide (full-frame Nikon D810 with 0.675:1 (135 mm / 200 mm) with a Zeiss Triotar 135 mm prime as a tube lens with a reversed Pentax 67 medium format lens, f/4 200 mm.

There is a game where you try to removed plastic sticks without having the balls they support fall down. Here is a view from above.
