Hello All,
I haven't posted here for many years, I have recently been doing a lot of photography of insects on white, it is a great way to learn species etc.
All insects are photographed alive and released, a lot of photos are taken on location or in my backyard, this little Cryptamorpha brevicornis was found on the outside of my house, its around 3mm in size, endemic to New Zealand.
image is focus stacked and also cropped for detail.

Thanks for your comment, No all insects are placed on a white tray under a small dish, once the subject is settle I then photograph it.
Just saw this now, three days later!
Nice image.
Curious about two things.
-What type of beetle is this, a wood borer or something?
-What equipment? I know most of what you shoot with already but its nice to see it listed with the image for the gear head people
All the best,
Robert
