Bovine Pulmonary Artery Nucleus

Usually when these nuclei are fixed, the genetic material is destroyed, but here we see some of it having been ejected in the fixation process and preserved.

Is it one of the triple stained slides made or distributed by Michael Davidson's lab? I have a pair and of course I can't get close to this super-resolution

Yes, it's one of those triple stain slides that cost a fortune. I go through a lot of them as they fade quickly with intense excitation. I just left out the other 2 wavelengths so you can see the nuclear material easily.
They're great test slides because they're so thin and any non uniformity of emission shows up dramatically
