Thank you. Yes, they are iridescent due to thin suface membranes.
Here's another similar species with a more ovoid form (thanks also to S.Lloyd)

Thank you very much indeed.
For low magnifications I use 2 x Trond LED panels, but for higher magnifications and iridescent subjects flash seems to work better (1 x Canon Speedlite 430EXII with circular paper diffuser around subject). |
