A few pictures from a tour last week to Åre. This is some miles east of Swedens geograpical mid-point. A popular winter area close to the border to Norway and the beautiful city Trondheim. There was still some snow in the mountains and a mix of alpine flowers and flowers I am used to see early in the summer here in Stockholm. I was wery pleased to see the Bombus consobrinus - a species that is specialized on monkshood.

Thanks for the kind words. The first flowers name in Swedish is mowing-flower (slåtterblomma). When the flower started to bloom it was time for the farmer to start mowing the meadow.anvancy wrote:Lovely photos.
The first photo is so soothing to see.
