Thanks Saul, Ken and Lou.
Lou- Did you get a chance to meet Javier Aznar while you were there? He's my replacement on the project until I get back. I am currently in Peru and have been delayed while receiving treatment in Lima for Leishmaniasis, which is a month-long series of daily injections, which has complicated my plans somewhat. Hope that Sani went well for you though. Yes, the baby turtle is indeed from their project.

I did briefly meet Javier but we had little time to talk. He was kind enough to provide IDs for some of my group's photos.
Sorry to hear about your Leishmaniasis, a serious occupational hazard of nocturnal tropical photographers and biologists. I understand that the modern treatments are much improved over the old doses of pentavalent antimony. I hope that your treatment is not too painful. On the bright side, you have lots of time to work on your existing photos...

Funny you should say that. I'm actually receiving antimony injections (1/day for a month). Though the alternative (Amphotericin B) isn't much better. Glad to hear that you met up with Javier, too bad you didn't have time to chat more he's a good guy, and a pretty amazing photographer in his own right.
Hope you are not suffering too much there.
Wow, I just looked up Javier Aznar's portfolio. Really amazing stuff:
