Chinese 5x M Plan APO

Post by ray_parkhurst »

Has anyone tested the 5x M Plan APO objective sold by WeMacro? It looks like a Chinese-made copy of the Mitty 5x. I'm curious if it's a decent (or maybe better!) alternative.

Sample images posted for the 10X look pretty good, especially since they specify the camera and tube lens also.

I've had it and the 10x for a few weeks and initial plays with it on APSC looked very encouraging! Sadly I'm unable to do a more thorough test, as I'm moving house and it'll be a few months before the new house has a partial conversion done to give me a macro studio again. :(
My extreme-macro.co.uk site, a learning site. Your comments and input there would be gratefully appreciated.
