Wild M5A Phototube to DSLR

Does anyone know the optimal way to connect a Wild M5 trinocular (photo tube attachment) to canon APS-C EF mount?

To add to this, the iris blades from the trinocular tube are rusted shut and one of the control rings is broken in half (i plan to fix w/ jb weld).

Would it be possible to remove the rust from these iris blades and re lubricated them or are they toast? They Look very thin and fragile to me.

I have removed them and can use the trinoc tube now, but I am not sure how necessary these are or what they improve?
