A very nice image. I like your choice of a black background; it gifts your beetle with a certain ominous air, even though he doesn't deserve it!

Thanks! I believe you can't really go wrong with a black background, provided you get the light right.

In fact, there is not really a choice of background, since I used no background. Just my room darkness => lazy man background. :wink:

This is a very good picture. But it is not a June beetle, but more likely a Chrysomelid beetle.
