What is this small animal?

Post by peterkinchington »

Hi everyone,
Apologies for the poor image quality but this is just a small section of a stacked image. Does anyone have any idea what this small animal is? It is about 0.1-0.3mm long and is on the stem of a daisy floret.
Cheers Peter

I think it looks like it has long thick antennae, so maybe a springtail?

Dear Davholla and Lou,
I thought it may have been a juvenile mite but now I think that I lean towards Lou's idea of a springtail if they can get this small.
Thanks for your ideas - Kanga (My nickname since high school stands for Kangaroo).
