Tracking automate

Post by hugodang »

After reading this topic: http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... s+utilitys
I acquire especially Canon 60D and Canon 100 mm MACRO f/2.8 USM, (with IS is much more expensive price) , I just want using Canon EOS utility’s to made tracking automate.
After reading this topic: http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... s+utilitys my idea is made teste some software for Tracking automate, and Carmen suggested me to open new tread.
These tests were very laborious, because of the instability of Windows 10, I made comparative test between; 1° digiCamControl, 2° EOS utility’s, 3° Helicon remote.
Presentation: 1° digiCamControl is opens in a window much like Nikon ViewNX2 and Canon ImageBroser EX, interface is on the left, very easy to use.
2° EOS utility’s, opens in two windows, one is main command screen in the top right very handy, second window for live view for stacking,
3° Helicon remote open on one window, interface is on the right,

I give my first impressions, no conclusion, because, as the tests are not very scientific,
1° digiCamControl is one very good free software, of course, the other also, but it is not distributed by the major camera manufacturers, it made good work.
2° EOS utility’s easy to use, but it cannot fully automatic program,
but except if we use that proposed by rjlittlefield = http://www.robot-soft.com/
3° Helicon remote is also easy to use, but a little slow to program, when we start to tracking, it is not what we set. I do not understand, yet it is designated for auto tracking.

What kind of difficulties are you experiencing? Likely we could help if you are more precise.
