That depends...
Perhaps:

Manfrotto 454 rail
Yongnuo flash
Flash bracket
Something to put the camera on, such as a small metal table-top tripod
Home made diffusers (paper)
Chinese remote release - IR or wired.

HI

do you think that this aliminium can made diffuser would fit on the flash you suggest ? https://www.flickr.com/groups/macroview ... 312315664/

im afraid the flash will not be strong enough....

is a flash bracket to move the flash around? is you have any suggestion cheap go ahead

is manfronto the cheapest rail available?

what is priority rail or flash or tripod?

every opinon is welcomed

Sure. There are lots of home made diffusers. You just need a big white sky for the subject.

You're so close they don't need to be powerful, but more is good. You DO need manual control.

Doesn't need to be elaborate. "On-Camera" isn't the right place forthe flash. You'll need a cord too.

Pretty much. There's a Velbon Mag slider, better for lower magnifications

I'd say flash.
Rail isn't much use without a support. Look at a Manfrotto Super Clamp.
Then turn a small table over and clamp to the frame/legs.

All depends on your subject size..

hi very interesting

what do you mean byt you jste need a big whit sky?
Im planning to photograph insects at magnification 4x and 5 x with mp5 65. I dont plan to photographe birds or clouds .

what do you mean by lower magnification

Manfrotto Super Clamp is 30 dollar does it need a universal ball to ajust the angle?

Also a gorrila pod is about 30 dollars why shoud i buy a clamp instead of a tripod?

All depends on your subject size.. insects 's face and mouth

thx

If it looked up, the insect needs to "see" a big angle of white. Then the light will be diffused.

Less than the Manfrotto. The 454 isn't perfect but it'll do. Anything else costs a lot more. Velbon is OK for 1-2-3x, struggles at 5x.

May be. "look at.." ;)
You won't get much of a tripod for $30.

I feel gratefull for your advices. im new in macro.
I feel like you used mpe65 before.. is that exact?

I will do photo inside and also outside fifty fifty.

if i understand i must chose between manfrotto 454 with a tripod
or manfrontto454 with a clamp and inverted clamp...

I kind of lost. i dont know how much is a good tripod.

i feel like a tripod would be more flexible wouldnt it? do you think i should buy a regular size tripod or onefeetgorilla type?
what kind of tripod would be ok to begin with?
does it need a universal ball head ?
what else are imortant features?

Do you think i could use a tripod both outside and on a table. I heard a monopode is good too

MPE65, yes, it's remarkable - on my aps Canon.
I have a Nikon D700 which can't use it :(

"Outside" things are often moving so you'll need single shots, whether flash or available light, with a support. A clamp wouldn't be very useful, unless you carry something to clamp it on to. A small wooden stool would probably work!

"Inside" your options are wider, but a regular tripod can be too big.

I have a type of "Gorilla" pod, but I wouldn't put a DSLR on it for very much. May be OK near the ground on a hard surface.

The best tripods cost as much as a used car. ...
I have a Manfrotto 709B Digi, tiny tripod (ebay, $25 used) which is small but usable indoors, and strong.

It sounds as though you want a kit for "everything".:?
I'd suggest you start with a flash, some handheld careful stacks, and see where you want to push further.

I use a mixture, anything with manual control. Yongnuo seem to be popular.
