Lousy times (parasites of Hydra spec.)

On the hydras i found some days ago, dozens of parasites populated the
hydra surface. Not only Trichodina, shown above, but also lots of Kerona polyporum,
shown in the lower image. (See also http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... php?t=2874)
Scale is 20 micrometer.

Gerd,
The Trichodina is one amazing looking creature!
It is like I'm looking into the front of a jet engine on a 747! :wink:
