Hi Protos,
I think you need an intermediate adapter tube to go from the photoport 44mm to the eyepiece mount 30mm, I think it's called photoadapter 60 because it raises the ocular shoulder 60 mm over the photoport end. Please take a look at the Axio manuals (sorry, this week I'm extremely busy and I can't do the search myself). I'ts the same adapter you can find to be used to mount film cameras MC100 and MC80 and i'ts also imaged in their manuals

EDIT Tube part number 45 60 06, see:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CARL-ZEISS-MC-8 ... 3362fc8e55 , 3# picture

I think that 100€ is a very reasonable price.

To mount the camera you can use an open adapter exactly like the Charles Krebs setups with bellows or mount one yourself with extension tubes and some DIY work, you don't need any other optics, just to place the sensor at the adequate height to be parfocal with the visual eyepieces.

It seems that the Axios may have different photo ports, the T2 adapter in your link is for the typical Zeiss Standard dovetail, the one I linked is for a different photoport also pretty usual in several Zeiss models, of course you need the one that fits your scope!

I see in your former picture with the chinese 2X adapter a dovetail eyepiece adapter, if it fits and is parfocal, you already have the first part: microscope to photoeyepiece (test parfocality putting in it a visual eyepiece and compare with the image in the binocular head)

About the second linked tube, it it fits well and its height is adequate to put the sensor at the right place... OK. I don't see clearly how it works: it seems to slide the eyepiece inside the tube, in principle this is not convenient

Here you can fin an image of one original SLR adapter:

Two other two specimens for sale:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zeiss-SLR-Camer ... 1777532762

it seems in perfect condition and includes the trino tube (and could be a photoeypiece?) but it's not inexpensive

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Zeiss-micr ... 27febd235a

It's being sold by a Forum member that had got not good results. I was trying to help him some time ago but the issue of unknown cause was not fixed. Because he is a very kind guy and he offers return option it could be a good bargain (or just an item to return). I think that the issue is not at the adapter because the eyepiece reticle image is sharp across the frame in his sample pictures but I'm not sure.

Why is he using a Leitz Periplan ocular with a Zeiss scope?

I think this is because 63*6.3/250 = 1.6X (approx), an ideal match for APSC cameras.
He was following my setup where I use this Zeiss adapter with this Leitz eyepiece, but I use it with Leitz objectives. The compensation with Zeiss objectives is not so well matched but it works decently.
