Cyclops vicinus - a winter copepode

Hello,

In the literature Cyclops vicinus is described as a winter form. This fits, because the following one I

have found yesterday in my garden pond.




Characteristcs of Cyclops vicicnus are the feathered, equal sized end-bristles and the hairy inner

border of the furca. Above the furca is a keel-shaped chitin part.
