This is my take as well. Helicon uses Adobe DNG converter in the output as well, but their front line support staff simply summarily rejected that the DNG they create could play any role, claiming that creating the file involves "no parameters" :-)
I think they're right. I'm using the Helicon DNG files with Lightroom and CaptureOne and both work just fine with no colour profile issues.
Yes, they are fine as far as color and selected profile for me if I take them straight to Lightroom, which is why my primary focus has been on the role Topaz is playing.

That said, Lightroom does not perform AI denoise on DNGs at all, so it does not provide a complete functional comparison.

And I still find the suggestion that since they use Adobe DNG converter any problems with the resulting file can't possibly be due to the specifics of how Helicon is using Adobe DNG converter to be ... unlikely.

It's just a linear DNG, which is already demosaiced. My guess is that there are some weird EXIF-tags 'missing' which Topaz looks at to find the correct colour profile.
And since there was an update which addresses this issue, it must have been be a bug or fault with Topaz, not with the files.
