It is designed for use with a BH stand.myxomop wrote:Will this:

It will not fit a BH-2 stand because it does not have the necessary circular dovetail fitting.

Thing is, this one:

Says bh-2, bhs..
and other one..

Says bh..
Alan, are you sure the BHS one isn't really a bhs one?

In pursuit of the ever elusive Paramecium.
Those 2 condensers look identical.
I do not own an NIC condenser, so I am judging from photos in brochures.

Look at the phase ring centering controls. For BH-2, they are small and at the back. For BH, they are at the front and much bigger.
I suggest asking the seller what the difference is.

This just came up on ebay and craigslist

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1034630263
looks older than the BH2-AAC. will it work with a BHS? fairly priced?

The BH-2 (including BHS) cannot use any condensers from older models, because they do not have the circular dovetail.myxomop wrote:http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/clt/3764151438.html

This one seems to have the square dovetail for an early Vanox.

Disaster
Either a postal error or negligence on the part of persons temporarily entrusted with receiving my mail has resulted in the loss of this item. A refund will be issued, but the condenser is history.
Classified renewed. Seeking BH2-AAC.

I am sorry that it didn't arrive. I am still in hope that it will be returned to me at some point, but it is not looking very likely at the moment (it has been 51 days since I originally posted it).

Re: WANTED: Olympus BH2-AAC Aplanatic-Achromatic 1.4 Condenser
I have returned to this almost decade-old thread to remark on the apparent abundance of BH2-AAC 1.4 condensers on Ebay. This thread originally lead me to believe that they were quite difficult to come by, and expensive when they could be found. Perhaps that was true nine years ago, but now...

I sold mine for $250, the usual price. $750 is close to the price of a new one.
