Quekett microscope sale in St Albans, Saturday 18th October

Post by Alan Wood »

Once a year, the Quekett Microscopical Club hires a hall where its members can sell their surplus microscopes and accessories. The sale starts at 10:00 a.m. and the location this year is:

St Stephen’s Church Hall, 14 Watling Street, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL1 2PX

There is no way to predict what will be available, but there will probably be a good range from complete microscopes down to filters, with lots of objectives, eyepieces and prepared slides. Probably some books, a few cameras and some laboratory equipment too.

Visitors are welcome. Even if you don't buy anything, it is a good opportunity to mingle with a bunch of friendly microscopists. Tea and coffee will be available in the hall. There is a pub nearby if you want a meal at lunchtime.

If you have some things to sell, send me a PM and I will put you in touch with the organiser to reserve a table (no charge for individuals).

Hope to see some of you there
