Seed Shrimp shell details

micro_pix showed images of Ostracod shells from a marine environment. The shells appear to have many large pores:

I have shown images of entire animals here:

Here is a shell from freshwater , outside view, of a single shell (ostracods have 2 shells and resemble very small clams). It differs from
the marine shells in not having any obvious pores, having several setae, and an intricate pattern.

Shell is 0.68 mm long

Nice one!! I saw one today and I wanted to photograph it because it seemed quite curious, but then I saw a mosquito larvae. Too much stuff on each water sample, difficult to focus on something.. :D

I photographed part of the shell with a Nikon 60x ELWD MPlan objective; NA 0.70
Rather poor image quality; not an improvement of the actual pixels from the 20x.
