Hi Rik,
The claws are probably stuck in the light absorbing foil
but I'm going to search for them :-)

Very nice. It looks like the tips of those white hairs are enlarged and flattened.

That suggests that they're used for gripping by van der Waals force or possibly by some oily or sticky substance like a lot of weevils use.

Any chance of imaging those at your highest NA?

Very interesting!

In the side view, second post above, the ends look like they may be feathered a little. But I cannot tell for sure. At this scale everything is so shiny that it's like looking at sculptures in glass.

Are you able to make stereo pairs?

Too bad, I have already deleted the source files. But I wouldn't do that anyway, because I can't see stereo by the crossed-eye :-(

I thought I had remembered that was the case, but I had to ask.

By the way, have you ever tried using a stereo viewer, something like https://www.berezin.com/3d/pocket_3dvu.htm for example?

I find that almost everybody can see stereo with the aid of one of those.
