Level Warning indicator on my Digital Rebel

Post by Carl_Constantine »

Recently, My EOS 300D started to Flash the Level Warning indicator when I started up the camera (looks like [ b] ) but I can't find anything anywhere as to what this means, just a note in the manual that says "Level Warning". Camera still takes pictures ok but whenever it sleeps or is turned on that flashes until some time as I start to take pics.

Anyone have ideas and what I should do about it? Google searches turning up nothing.

Thanks.

From page 125 of the 300D Instruction Manual.
"The message "[ b[" appears on the LCD panel."
The date/time battery is exhausted.
Replace the battery with a new one. (p.33)
The diagram of the LCD Panel on page 12 makes this really hard to figure out. They break the text across two lines so it looks like
Date/time battery ------------------
level warning ([ b[)".
and then you're left wondering what a "level warning" is.

hrm, I did a text search of the manual and it didn't come up but it's listed in a different fashion.

ok, that explains why my date and time got messed up when I switched batteries recently.

Thanks Rik, can always count on you my friend.
