Tube Lens for Zeiss "Neofluar" Objective

Post by Macro_Cosmos »

Hi all,

I've recently scored an unlabelled Zeiss 100x objective, I've identified it as a 100x/0.9 designed for epi-illumination setups, I'd like to play with it. Knowing that Zeiss objectives are best coupled with their own tube lenses, I tried to find one. There's a myriad of options ranging from $50 to $200, all labelled Zeiss, with an FL=165mm, presumably.

Notable listings:
eBay item number:224163524524
eBay item number:174313175268
eBay item number:173992287624

Are these all the same? Furthermore, does Zeiss require an eyepiece to fix aberrations?

Thanks!

I can't respond to the first questions
...does Zeiss require an eyepiece to fix aberrations?
Not for infinite Axio series because the complementary corrections are done by the tube lens (and yes for older 160 finite series)
