Nikon PB6 Video "Hidden Features"

Post by mawyatt »

I got a PB6 from Saul long ago and use it often, it's a nice bellows. However, it has some nice "hidden features" I was unaware of.

Here's a video of the PB6 showing these "hidden features" I found on DPreview.

This idea of reversing the front post for automatic/semi-automatic aperture control is also a standard feature on the more advanced bellows models from Minolta, Olympus and probably many others.

Yes, I would add Pentax (autobellows), Yashica, Contax, I also think Canon and as you say probably many others

Best,
Hi, in this pdf of an old nikon sales brochure you can find several tips and tricks for using the pb-6 and the macro equipment ecosystem of that time 1978-79 I believe according to the lens and camera models that appear. Very complete info with several graphs of bellows and its accesories, extension rings and manual micro-nikkors are included, as soon as I read it I printed it almost entirely.
