Not cheap but possible means of attaching lenses which you otherwise would do so with difficulty:

Lens Clamps
My images are a medium for sharing some of my experiences: they are not me.

Harold,
Such clamps are useful items, but avoid those particular (linked) clamps......instead, go to Redstan.com (based in the UK); their products are exceptional (I have a few examples) and they are worthy of the lenses to which they are attached.
www.redstan.com
Redstan also occasionally list items on eBay.
Can the clamps be used for other adaptation purposes?...I expect so
Many anamorphic lens/adapters do not have easily adaptable front or rear threads. The clamps permit attachment to modern equipment and also facilitate correct orientation of the anamorphic attachment.
Some of the Redstan clamps I currently use:
(that's a Tokina +0.4, double element diopter attached...also purchased from Redstan)
