leitz laborlux s repair

Hi there,

Has anyone had this problem with a leitz laborlux s or similar microscope, any advice on repair? It's uneconomic to pay a tech to fix, so the microscope is either fixed by me (novice) or doomed

The stage just drops. If I lie it on its side, coarse adjustment moves stage, but sometimes sounds like a cog slipping
