That's interesting. My elevated platelets were discovered in the mid-90s, but nothing was attributed to it. I had an aunt in Wisconsin that had it. A combination of hydroxyurea and aspirin has gotten my platetelet levels down to 3000,000 when it had been as high as 2 million. I live in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania where the rate results in 5 or so patients, two or three of which are not aware of their condition (no telethons).

Thanx for letting me join, Mike. At least here the hydroxy is free, the aspirins ain't. I am at about 260 from just under 1000 (from whatever measurement they use here).
