Video: Exploring a century old I.D. Möller strew slide!

Post by Macro_Cosmos »

Hi everyone. I present to you a slide that's more than a century old, lots of beautiful diatoms to be seen. This is a freshwater strew mount by one of best mounters/companies back in the days. It's still flawless despite the age!

4k is still processing at the time of this post. It should be available soon, I hope! Lots more info regarding to the slide, labels, and some technical stuff is in the description of the video.

More of my work on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/macro__cosmos/

Thank you.

That is very nice! A precious piece of glass you have there.
It does remind me, though, that modern prepared slides of biological specimens are now often terrible and generally unusable. I speak especially of slides for tissue sections.
