Nitex 90 micron mesh

I picked up a few sheets of Nitex nylon mesh to make a couple of sieves, but thought I would first take a look at the material under the microscope. Although it appears pure white, I knew I would get some "color" with polarization. Here's what the 90 micron mesh size looks like with a 4X (crossed polarizers) and a 20X (DIC).

Wow!! Charles,

That first shot enlarged to 3ft by 5ft would go on an art gallery wall anywhere in the world...............reminds me of the art of the 1960s, especially the work of artist Brigid Riley.............see here:
