Stacking Mistake #1

Always remember to clean your subject whenever possible, even if it looks clean. I did not notice the dust on this board until I looked at the pictures on the computer (I did blow on it)....will try again. This is a stack of 32 pictures using 1mm movements. The metal transisters(?) are 4mm in diameter.

Hhmm... Well, this isn't exactly the sort of stacking failure I had in mind, but I guess it's a good start.

Nice dust, by the way -- very clear!

Seems as though you have captured dust in its most natural environment Doug. I would not say though that the shot is a failure, it is quite sharp and of course being stacked, the DOF is excellent.

Isn't it often the way - if it's not telephone poles sticking out of ppls heads, blades of grass obscuring an insect's foot etc - it's dust on el. compts.

They're capacitors, btw - by the info on top ... and the 'C21' next to one of 'em
