Crane's-bill - back and front

Post by Bruce Williams »

Hi Folks,

We are looking at the back and front of a wild geranium sps. taken while dog walking in a small nature reserve in Stony Stratford (England). Although this is one of our common wildflowers, it offers some interesting surprises when viewed up close - especially from the back.

The main technical difficulty with these pics was keeping my very inquisitive dog's nose out of the picture as she was obviously convinced that I needed her help to find whatever it was I was looking for :D .

Minolta A2 ISO=100, back=1/500s @ f8, front=1/400s @ f8

I missed this one. Not only do I like textures, I love flower images. Nice set you have here too.

Thanks for your kind comments folks :) . I was surprised and intrigued by the fairly unusual structure of the flower stem and plan to take a closer look with the Meiji stereo scope.
