Butterfly Wing

Post by augusthouse »

I didn't take much time with composition and lighting for this one. The actual wing area of the shot is 5x4cm. I used the Karl Storz Special Vario Lens mentioned in another topic.

It has been worked in Photoshop because I think I have a compulsion to display butterfly wing patterns as artwork.

I'm still learning about lenses and lighting and CA and haven't attempted a stack yet.

If anyone is interested, the large file 4.4mb is here http://www.augusthouse.com.au/images/025_lrg.jpg:

I will agree with you on butterfly wing patterns being natures artwork. A very beautiful pattern on this insect

Very beautiful indeed. I would agree also in this being another form of natures art and handy work. :D
