Look at how the vertical extrusion is held to the horizontal. I expect I'll put a diagonal strut "behind" on each side, but I don't have a great way to measure the 90º. With a part like this , you don't need to measure 90 degrees. Once installed you can use the camera and Zerene Stacker to precisel...

Thanks guys. Unless I'm misinterpreting, ebay 352575728985 has T8 x 1mm , 200mm long with a nut, for $3.89. And 272767923336 is a T8mm x 1mm anti backlash, though I'm thinking that gravity would make it redundant? Not sure where an idler might best go. It's not much like the Wemacro stand. A and B ...

I'd recommend a 32bit microprocessor like the Teensy 3.2 or 3.5. They are Arduino compatible, have many more pins, and are quite a bit faster than an Uno.
A touchscreen like a Nextion is a lot more versatile than an lcd and buttons.

I did have a couple of questions for anybody with experience with the Misumi/80/20 profiles and accessories: Is there a roller bearing (like this: https://8020.net/pub/media/catalog/product/cache/image/700x560/e9c3970ab036de70892d86c6d221abfe/4/0/40-6824_photo.png ) that will work on this type of p...

I used a 12"x18"x3" granite surface plate for my desktop setup. I used a hand drill and masonry bit to drill through holes. It wasn't hard to do, but did take a long time. I bolted the aluminum extrusions from the bottom using long bolts, washers, and tnuts. There are several online metal suppliers ...

Cover the granite with a steel plate, 18 gauge or thicker. This allows you to use magnets to position lights, diffusers, etc. Granite can be drilled with masonry drills. It's best to do it outside and use running water to keep the dust down. The dust can cause silicosis, a serious disease. You can e...

If the stepper driver/controller can enable and disable the stepper, then using a handwheel works fine. The stepper will generate voltage when driven manually, so the controller may need protection. Here's a screenshot showing stepper and pulley on the Z axis of my rose engine. The handle on the lar...

A bushing would probably be your best bet. This steel pipe (DOM) from Misumi should work.

There are no GT3 pulleys. There are GT2 and GT3 belts. Each of these are available in 2mm, 3mm, 5mm, 8mm pitch. Unfortunately most ebay, aliexpress, 3d print shops, etc. call GT2 - 2mm only GT2. I have 3d printed GT2-3mm pulleys as well as CNC machined them. I don't think my 3d printer would make ac...
