Dust spot likely from binocular tube, Nikon Eclipse E200

I'm fairly certain the 'dust spot' appearing on all images, or even in field of view of the microscope with no slide on the stage on my Nikon Eclipse E200 is somewhere inside the binocular eyepiece section. It's there regardless of which objective is viewed through. I've never tried to take apart th...

Very immaculate and pleasing, thank you for posting it.
Can you say what distance apart the shots are? Thank you,

Thanks for everyone's responses. Flying U.S. Air out of Seattle.
Reread Their web site vs TSA, and AA, AAA Lithium batteries 'loose' ok in Carry-on. I just came through security, and they didn't even rummage through my ThinkTank backpack! Usually happens ~ 50% of the time.

You may have answered my question, but my head thickens a bit reading the answer. Honestly, I'll have to chew on this tomorrow. It's possible you have pointed out a better organizational schema (I'm still finding my way) than I am using. I think I lost you when you mention doing both runs in the sam...

D800E plus R1C1

I am in the midst of a StackShot-Nikon D800E-R1C1 shoot, and I am just learning how to use speedlights, so I don't know the answer. I am also using mirror lockup and with the SU800 as the Commander, the two SB-R200s and one SB910 (in Remote) are flashing twice like yours with MLU. I use rechargeable...

Thank you!

Hello Chris, I decided the ball and chain of hand slabbing a deeper stack to me was worse than my intimidation of trying out your generous batch file. The main initial draw was your mention and screen shot of a GUI, a godsend for me. The only issue I had (as a non techie) was I saved my file the fir...

Zerene Stacker, why uncheck Preferences>Alignment boxes?

Why is it suggested to uncheck the Alignment boxes for DMap? Is this only for slabbing or anytime one wants to run DMap?

Sometimes I forget to recheck them back for PMAX...would this have a big effect, or only if my shots were incongruous to begin with? Thanks.

StackShot Li+ battery pack, anyone flown with it?

I am flying in a few days and want to take the StackShot setup with me, including the Lithium battery pack. Looks like I can't check the batteries in baggage (no 'loose' lithium batteries in checked baggage allowed if I read the Airline website correctly), and it I can see how it would look suspicio...

I remember visiting a Claude Monet exhibition in Las Vegas that was set up to show this very phenomenon. You could see a progression of how he painted with more yellows and oranges (a cast) over time due to his progressive cataract disease. It was most striking! Apparently, he finally consented to c...

100% crop

Thank you, Rik! I fear the quality of the 100% crop is quite low, since my camera is the Nikon D800E and I had to accept 'Low' quality to keep the file size under 300kb (is it still 300kb? The post that says how to upload pix still says '800 pixels', though the actual upload box says 1024 pixels, so...

Thanks, Roy, for your comments. I feel I lucked out with this shot as far as guessing and trying 50 shots, but, for example, I tried 100 shots using the Auto Step mode for a bonsai azalea tree (the depth of the tree ~ the macro rail length, same lens at 180mm), but I was not happy with the 'lack of ...
