Re: New computer

Thank you all for your comments and tips! I bought a Mac mini M1 with 16MB of RAM and an internal SSD of 256GB. A new BenQ SW 270C 27" screen was also purchased. The idea is that I will put my photos and videos on an external SSD memory so not to over load the internal SSD memory. Yes, I know it is ...

New computer

Hi, my old iMac 27" late 2013 is starting to give up and I've been looking at a new Mac Mini M1 with 16GB RAM and 256 in SSD. From what I understand there is no way to upgrade this new machine in the future. Also considering a 32 " screen in 2K or 4K. It's easy to create large image files with Zeren...

Re: Looking for a good 10-15" monitor

Thank you all for your suggestions and ideas. I have now ordered a Lilliput 7" which will be an upgrade from my Fotga 5" monitor. The space that I have after a bit of repositioning on my macro table barely accommodates a 10" monitor, so I therefore mount the Lilliput A7S on an articulating arm and t...

I just found out that this 10" monitor described above is accessible here in Sweden at a price about 600USD.

Re: Looking for a good 10-15" monitor

I found this one: https://www.beetronics.eu/10-inch-monitor, could that work out for me with my Sony A7R ii?

Looking for a good 10-15" monitor

Hi, I need a better monitor to be able to control sharpness, composition and other things for my macro photography. I now have a 5" Fotga monitor which is connected via HDMI cable from my camera Sony A7R ii. There are 7" monitors from Fotga and other manufacturers but the wish is to get a larger one...

Re: From 16MB to 40MB in APS-C

JKT, my computer works quite good on my Sony A7R ii in full frame. That is about the same resolution (40MB) as the new upcoming Fuji XH-2. It is all about detail and sharpness I guess at very close range!

From 16MB to 40MB in APS-C

Hi, what are your thoughts on the new Fuji XH-2? It is said to have a 40MB APS-C sensor and that is significantly more than the 16MB I can get in my Sony A7R ii in APS-C mode. A switch to a Sony A7R ivA, with a crop factor of APS-C increases to 26MB, but is far behind the 40MB that Fuji promises tha...

RAW-Tiff what happens to the ISO value?

Maybe a banal question but I'm looking for an answer anyway! When I transfer images from RAW to Tiff and need to increase the brightness one step what happens in the process? Will there be a higher ISO number or where will the change take place? An example, I set my flash to a lower value and compen...

Artifacts in Zerene Stacker D-map

This phenomenon causes a lot of frustration. In D-map, it looks like glue is running down between different color fields and details. What am I doing wrong?

Re: What about that fresnel lens on your camera flash?

I took an oval ice cream container and fitted thin white foam plastic instead of the lid. Then I cut out on the rim around the container, a rectangular hole where I insert the flash. In this way, I do not get a direct flash light without it bouncing around in the container and then softened through ...
