By the way, I just found out the actual shutter lag of the GFX 50S / R : 0.270s I think now the whole thing starts to make sense. May I ask for further/more detailed guidance on how you achieved your goal? What kind of device did you use? Was it the MJKZZ Delay Controller?
I too use a Fujiflim GFX (50R) and using ES would be very beneficial, but soldering a PCB is not in my time contigent.

Wide open it is bad. Try stopping it down ... a lot. The corners get better, but overall resolution drops. See if you can find a reasonable compromise.
