Something Dew

Nothing special, but I haven't gotten to do a lot of Macro lately. This isn't even a stack - just something I saw in Maui, used a my 24-105. I think some highlights are blown, and I added a vignetting, but I like the pattern of the drops, big, little, big, little, big. http://www.photomacrogr...

I am not 100% sure, but I swear I can see your face and some very fine details in the spiders right eye (our left.) (Really probably just a smudge from the stacking software.) Still. . .

Musical - to some. . .

This is on a green grasshopper (more to come as far as what it looks like, just didn't get all of the stacks done.) Seems to have real long feather like protrustions out the back, probably about 1/2 inch or so in length, seen here in this photo. I used a canon 5dmk II, 1.4x converter, 68mm extension...

Thanks folks! I think the third one is a little too saturated in the color field?.?. Maybe. I also like the second photo! But there was a white flower petal that looks a bit like a worm in there, a bit distracting especially at original size.

Back behind the lens!

So after months of no shooting I finally made it back behind the lens for macro. I've been doing tons of non-macro shooting, but it felt great to get a post on the forum once again! Yeah me! I will confess, I sprayed these store bought flowers, but in all fairness it is not warm enough here for flow...

Same here (in Maine, USA)...nevertheless, I am desperate for an early spring.

Does anyone know of any especially effective rituals (of ANY variety!) that might cause an early and warm spring??!! (grins)
Temp was -3 after wind chill today here

The different shape of the scales on those patches are what I noticed. It took me awhile to focus my eyes well enough to notice that the patches were not blurry or hazy, that instead they appear to be more curved, or at the very least not have the pointy ridges the others seem to have. Way cool!

Man - I had no idea anyone would put that much effort into the cleaning of an insect. I don't have a stereo microscrope, but I better start cleaning my subjects better!

I thought a Lichen was when "Fun Gus" and "Ally G" got together in one habitat. :D

That aphid in photo three is way cool. . .

Kinda reminds me of a sci-fi movie, imagine if those pads were the size of houses. How fun would that be.
