Hello,
thanks for the hint, indeed I overlooked that, I'll have to redo the retouching.

I found a lot of grease at the wall of the inner tubus, is this normal with your copy?...
Again to all Laowa 100mm owners, is the grease layer "normal"?

Re: Does anyone have the Laowa 100mm x2 macro lens?

Everyone should be aware that this is the main difference between the larger brands like Canon, Nikon, Sony, Sigma being more consistent between copies and the smaller brands like Laowa, Samyang and Meike, where the quality will vary a lot from copy to copy... Robert to be fair, the Laowa comes wit...

Re: Does anyone have the Laowa 100mm x2 macro lens?

I sent my Laowa 100 to the dealer because of the focus creep when holding upwards and got a replacement lens. I found a lot of grease at the wall of the inner tubus, is this normal with your copy? They offered to exchange it again, I'm afraid the next lens will be the same. regards Lothar grease.jpg

Re: Compare macro results from 2 different enlarger lenses.

I have seen a lot of praise for the el-nikkor online, but when seeing the photos side by side the Rodagon photos look sharper. downscaled to forum size both look OK to me, but on the Nikon your camera was not perpendicular to the ruler thus the blurred edges because the are out of focus due to the ...

Re: Some test shots with Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro

A little mushy for my taste and some very high CA. In my opinion, not a very good optic. Mike I just repeated the shots, single shot no pixel shift. May be this time I got the lightning a little bit better, the wavers are unforgiving ;-) : Laowa at 5x magnification f2,8 crop_28.JPG f4 crop_4.JPG f5...

Some test shots with Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro

Hello, since Guppy /Kurt Wirz showed some test shot of the Zhongyi 1-5x lens here I want to share some test shots of the Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X. I used a wafer as target, illuminated with LED panels. Camera was a Sony A7Riv with and without Pixelshift. I did not stack and only took a sharp crop fro...

Re: WeMacro Stand on Steroids

as long as you choose the 8mm groove/nut parts from different suppliers should fit together. But instead of angle brackets I would use those automatic fasteners because those tighten the two profiles together :D , the angle clamps just fix the in the position not pressfit between the two parts :| If...

Re: 5:1 with Zhongyi Mitakon Creator 85mm f/2.8 1-5X Super Macro

Hallo Kurt, thanks for showing this lens. Did you have a chance to compare it with the Laowa 2,5-5x lens. I found that Pixelshift on the Sony A7riv with the Laowa @2,5 still gives more details but no longer @5x, but there still the lens can support the high resolution sensor of the A7riv. regards Lo...

Re: WeMacro Stand on Steroids

For that reason I would like to ask you if the parts that you used to connect the 4040 extrusion slots, are the ones that come with the Wemacro Vertical Stand or did you manage to find a store where to buy them? since the profile looks quite standard all the suppliers who offer the alumina profiles...

Re: Newport Damped Optical Posts

What's your secret to not having those LED panels on the magic arms rotate themselves loose? For the one closest to the camera I guess it's only tightening itself with the leverage but the one on the opposite side would be trying to loosen the thread. my secret is to tighten the locking nut  f...
