It's a great shot of the butterfly and I like how the lighting accentuates the texture of the wing scales. But my brain is struggling to make sense of the in-focus area of background toward center right, which appears to be cloned from the lower right. Was that intentional? thanks for pointing out ...

The cat. actually come out from the top of the egg the next morning after I have done with the picture taking the night before .

Thanks for your kind words and am distracted by the OOF too but it was to late to retake the pic by the time I process and realise the issue as the caterpillar already hatched

Hi Rik, Thanks and I do agreed that this is possibly the shed skin of the caterpillar (there were actually another one sitting beside this cat. before i took the pic). Usually cat. will eat their own shed skin and left with the head capsule, so not sure why it was left there. p/s: length of this cat...
