Attach Canon DSLR to Olympus BX51
Hi guys, I need your expertise again. Do you think this piece is sufficient for attaching a Canon Eos 450D (or newer cameras with similar sensor size) directly on the microscope without having to crop for vignetting? https://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/Phototube-1X-CCD-C-mount-Camera-adapter-for-Olympus-Mi...

Well, we will not keep them, they are for years and years in a closet in a corridor and now they gonna renovate the place so the closets need to be emptied. I post this here because people here might be interested in them. If not they will have better use in developing countries then just discarding...

For sale (Old microscope objectives)
Hi there! We have some lenses we might want to sale. If nobody is interested, we probably just ship them to developing countries. The list will be updated if other lenses are found in the lab. Important: they are all not tested! I can try to screw them on an old microscope if requested. Reichert Pla...

I know not much about nematode biology but my research had me believe those droplet shaped features in the last photo are the female sex organs. Is that not so? No, these are male supplementary organs, I think used in reproduction. Probably it's a member of the Tobrilidae, but that's not particular...

Wow, I like the details a lot! It's a male for sure. Do you have a picture of the head as well? I woud love to know which one it is... I'm waiting for someone to photograph a Bunonema . It's a quite strange looking nematode. I find it sometimes, but the contrast pulled from our BX51 is not even comi...

The imaged condenseres are from different series of scopes, the first one seems from Axio and the second from Standard/Universal 160 Zeiss microscopes. I don't think that the DIC systems could be full compatible (even if the mounting dovetail is, and I'm not sure of this point). Zeiss dind't made f...

Condenser (with or without flipout lens)
I would love to buy a DIC condenser one day but I was wondering what the difference is between one with a flipout lens and without. And which one would you guys advice? I know you can flip the front lens away for lower magnifications for the flipout, but what about the other one for low magnificatio...
