So both HR mitutoyos were potatoes?
I'm curious to see some photos (of the actual objectives) and photos taken using them.

Re: MEJIRO GENOSSEN FL0530 4.0/110 FLOAT LENS TEST IS FINALLY ONLINE
that sounds more likely. after all it would be odd for Mejiro to publish a data sheet which lists distortion at each magnification down to 0.001% (1 part in 100'000) and then not care how the ring is lined up :) I'm with you Chris in this case but I can't ever forget Irix #-o They claim 0% on their...

Re: Single die led vs multi die for microscope illuminator
Hello harisA, coincidentally I want to do the same 😊 At the moment I have a single LED like Pau but I want to change to CREE XLAMP XHP-70.2. Where I want to take the 6V variant so I can run it on batteries. I will install a diffusor between the XHP-70.2 and the field diaphragm of the Köhler illumin...

Re: Single die led vs multi die for microscope illuminator
Thank you again Pau for your valuable help and support. COB models often are more powerful but a big part of the light never will enter into the microscope illumination path. Can you please explain this a little bit more. Both XML2 and xhp50.2 are 5X5mm leds while the second has a double loumen output.

Single die led vs multi die for microscope illuminator
I want to make a led illuminator for my universal zeiss microscope since the light bulb and the base are missing.I was thinking to order a 20w xhp50.2 cree led but it seems to be a multi die (4-part) led. Is this type of led suitable for my project or i need to stick to a lower power single die led?

Re: Need help with monstrus Zeiss microscope

Re: Need help with monstrus Zeiss microscope
What are those pink crystal looking things installed in the frame? Is this frame actually filled with desiccants? Sutter uses Drierite which turns pink when it soaks up moist air. https://youtu.be/BLvYLLJmcnY Yeap this is silica gel for a photocell inside the microscope. It does'nt affect any other ...

Re: Need help with monstrus Zeiss microscope
I have noticed that the fine focusing mechanism is not working.Small gears are moving but the main big gear at the bottom is not moving at all I would do more diagnosis before lubricating. I do not know that particular focus mechanism, but in general... Does the coarse focus make the big gear turn ...

Need help with monstrus Zeiss microscope
Long story short i convinced myself that i had to buy it.Althought the price was a 2 digit figure its weight was enough to cause me back pain for several days.Furthermore it is impossible to put it inside the house (my girlfriend won't approve it {-X ) so it will stay in storage room. z1.jpg It seem...
