Re: A mostly 3D printed macro setup

Nice setup. Do you have some more info maybe on the electronically controlled focus rail?

A while ago I got hold of a very cheap Componon-s 50mm. 'Its a bit dirty' the guy said who sold it to me. But some of the elements turned out to be heavily effected by fungus. Since I paid so little for it I figured that a ruthless cleaning job could not make things much worse. So I went looking for...

Jacco, The camera manual states that with other Canon flash no EX set to TTL it only fires at maximum power (i.e. no TTL mettering), do you have any reference for it? In any case, as I'm too ignorant in electronics I never would try any modification :) Obviously you would not want to modify either ...

Hi Pau, I'm pretty sure I was the one who sold this particular flash to you :) Glad to see it is serving you well! On a side note: I had been thinking of building some sort of adapter for the olympus hot shoe so that the TTL quelch pin matched the EOS pin. In theory that should give you TTL on the E...

If an enlarger lens has M39 at the rear what would it have on the front? That entirely depends on the enlarging lens. Even one and the same enlarging lens can have different size filter threads (or have none at all) in between builds/revisions. The componons I think) are 43mm. But an el-nikkor 50mm...

I use a 40 dollar Ebay rail. Works beautifully in the field. Here's a shot for which I used the rail:
