Ever since I first saw these FIBER OPTIC FACE PLATE I've wondered how they could be used. Just a thought here... If one was to determine the radius, do the math, and select an appropriate plano-convex lens, (possibly from their lens selector) would the light output not be concentrated and output in ...

Ok, 6, 8 legs... who's got time to count; but, you've got to wonder why they they don't go running and screaming when they see those sinister glowing eyes and all that pointy hardware up front.

As always, great work Kurt.

Astounding scene. I can't believe I'm actually feeling empathy for an Aphid!
The detail is so vivid, it appears three dimensional. A real masterpiece!

That's a very interesting conjecture Wim, especially when one considers the wavelength separation. If their retinal cells are filtered of intermediate frequencies, they may actually perceive anaglyph-type imagery. After all vision is; the perception of reflected light, n`est-ce pas? I find it very a...

Your first stacking effort is so detailed that it's prompted my favorite compulsion of pondering the mechanics and essence of Insect life. Now, it's probably just my imagination but it appears that the antennae have an eye at the base mounted between two plates with a pin to secure them. Do you have...

Some time ago I bookmarked a fascinating article called "Why the Bubbles in the Lens Glass?" in a feature about Contax Lenses (half-way down the page) that I've been anxious to share with this forum... and you stepped right in it :-)

I hope you find it enlightening.

Outstanding! Where most would be waiting for the sunshine, you're crawling around getting the best shots imaginable. Clear droplets on a white background...Phew!

If you really don't want to get sidetracked you'd better hide those from advertising graphics designers.
